Trade Screen for Book

My older son has been an avid reader since kindergarten, greatly benefiting from the phonics skills he learned before we moved to Virginia. He devoured every book I brought home from the library with remarkable speed. However, one day in middle school, he told me that a Jane Austen novel gave him a headache due to its use of old English.
My younger son tackled his first heavy reading in second grade, finishing a 500-page Harry Potter book that his older sister gave him in hopes of keeping him from running around the house so much.
Luckily screening in social media was limited at their times and I had strict rules with playing games in my house.
Can we parents trade kids screen for book? Kids brain can learn very fast if we challenge them.
